I’m Andy Li. I started Day of Design in Toronto in 2017, and since then I’ve made brands for more than 350 businesses. Today I work one way only. By the month, I run brand and AI for business owners: I decide with you what to do, I make it, I put AI to work on the jobs your staff repeat, and I teach your staff to use it. One fee, one person.
Here is how I got there.
Where owners really get stuck
For years I worked by the project. A client came in, I made a logo, a website and a brochure, and I handed over the files. The work was good.
You’ve probably seen what happens next. A new logo arrives, and six months later the company’s flyers are made in Word, in the wrong colours, with the old logo stretched across the top.
I saw it often enough that I stopped blaming the clients. The files were never the hard part. The hard part was everything after: every quote written from scratch, every social post started from a blank page, every new hire learning the brand by guessing. A project ends. The work doesn’t.
Why by the month
In 2023 I started working with clients by the month instead. Each month I pick one thing with you that matters now, and I finish it. At the end of the month, you and I look at what got used and decide what comes next.
It sounds slower than one big launch. It isn’t. Small, finished pieces add up, and nothing sits in a folder waiting for a launch date that keeps moving. Some clients have now worked with me this way for years.
Why AI is in the same fee
The jobs that eat a small company’s week are the repeated ones: the quote, the follow-up email, the weekly post, the meeting notes. By 2026 AI was good enough to take the first pass at most of them.
But AI on its own makes more of whatever you give it, faster. Give it a muddled offer and it will write muddled quotes all day. So I don’t treat AI as a separate service. First I decide what is worth saying and making. Then I build the repeated parts into AI, inside your own ChatGPT or Claude accounts, with a person checking everything before it goes out. Then I teach the people who will use it.
Brand and AI are the same job now: decide what good looks like, then make it easy to repeat.
Why one person
I’m not a team, and I don’t pretend to be one. When you work with me, you talk to the person doing the work. Nothing gets lost between an account manager, a designer and a developer. On a bigger identity or product design job I sometimes bring in Aiven Yan, a designer I trust, and I still check everything that goes out.
The trade-off is plain: I can only take a few clients at a time. I would rather do that than hand your work to someone you’ve never met.
What it costs
There are two plans, and they cover the same work. The difference is how much of my time you get.
- Standard: $3,495 CAD a month plus tax. About 20 hours, half a day a week, with a check-in every two weeks.
- Priority: $5,495 CAD a month plus tax. About 32 hours, a full day a week, with a check-in every week.
You can pause or stop with notice before the next month. Everything I build lives in your own accounts, so it keeps working after I step away.
If you want to see how a month actually runs, I wrote it down in what the first month of working together looks like. The pricing page shows whether each plan is open right now. Or book a free call and ask me directly.
