Vincent is a private-equity investor who wanted short videos about the market stories nobody says out loud. We gave the channel a “finance terminal” screen: deep navy, with gold only for figures and emphasis, every frame reading like a pane of trading software. The pilot asks why Buffett is sitting on a record pile of cash — three and a half minutes, cut both horizontal and vertical.

01The screen

A finance terminal,
cut for short video.

The frame borrows from trading software: gold corner brackets hold the picture, the channel bar and timecode run along the top, the disclaimer and progress along the bottom. The middle carries one card, one figure, at a time. Navy holds everything down; gold goes only to units, numbers and arrows, so the eye lands on the figure first.

02Data cards

The number speaks first,
the explanation follows.

Three and a half minutes, and the data cards run to at least number nine. Each card makes one point: number and source on top, the figure largest, one line beneath to put it in plain words. A ratio becomes two bars, so investment and return compare at a glance.

“Four in, one back” — the half-line under the ratio is what viewers remember.

03Statement and sign-off

Every episode
leaves one line to keep.

Once the figures are done, a statement card closes the argument — the type as large as it goes, nothing else in the box. The end card carries only the sign-off and a subscribe button: the real risk is the part you can’t see. The line doubles as the channel’s calling card.

04Production

One script,
two cuts.

We built the making of an episode into one fixed flow: once the script is set, narration, presenter, captions and the terminal screens are all generated to the same rules, and both cuts come out together.

A lip-synced presenter made from his likeness.

Timed line by line from the narration.

The terminal is code, so every episode wears the same screen.
