Summer Jasper Interiors designs interiors and builds millwork for homes and businesses in Markham, Ontario. Its initials are SJ, so we drew the two letters as a room: the strokes are walls, a door swings open at the top, a small window sits in the side. The mark was settled after several rounds of proposals; four colourways, business cards and a window full of services followed.

01The mark
Two letters,
one room.
The S and the J are drawn as walls of one weight. Break the top wall and add an arc, and there is a door swinging open; a small frame in the left wall is the window. The name is set in widely spaced serif capitals, with INTERIORS reversed out of a bar. The logo was delivered in four colourways: charcoal with amber, reversed with amber, all white and all charcoal.

On its own the SJ symbol serves avatars and small sizes. Heavy walls and wide openings keep the door and window legible down to 32 pixels.
02Business cards
The logo on the back,
only what matters on the front.
The cards went out with the logo in 2022 and were reset as a vertical card in 2024. The back is solid charcoal with the reversed logo alone; the front is white, with a small logo top left and the name, title and contact lines below, more space than type. Staff names and details are left out here.
03The window
Six services,
in a single column.
A tall white panel runs down the shop window: the logo at the top, then six services, one to a line — commercial millwork, residential millwork, interior design, project management, renovation, home staging — each marked with a short amber rule in the colour of the logo’s bar.
