St. Marlyn makes art speakers: a row of upright panels and a low soundbar, the whole set dressed in painting. The 2026 file named six collections — Chromatic Rhapsody, Liquid Chrome, Celestial Tide, Autumn Reverie, Scarlet Echo, Cyan Mist. We gave each name a colour and a field of moving lines, and one layout to hold all six as a series.

01Six names

First, the names.
Then the colours.

The names already carry colour: Chromatic is red and gold, Liquid Chrome is silver, Celestial Tide is deep blue. We took each colour from its name — a ground, an ink and one bright accent per series — and set the six like the track list on the back of a record.

02The layout

One grid
for six moods.

Every poster has the same five layers: the name and index across the top, a field of 36 lines, one bright band through it, the series name in two lines, and a hairline with the credits. The grid never moves; only the colour and the shape of the wave change — a series together, and whole on its own.

  1. 1Name and indexST. MARLYN to the left, 01 / 06 to the right, at the same height on every poster.
  2. 2The fieldThirty-six evenly spaced lines, 10 units wide, cut square at the sides and left to end on their own curve top and bottom.
  3. 3The bandEleven lines through the middle switch to the accent, like one band turned up.
  4. 4The seriesTwo lines, ranged left, the largest type on the sheet.
  5. 5CreditsA hairline, then ART + SOUND and the year.

03The series

Six colours,
one rhythm.

Seen at different sizes, the same layout carries six tempers: red runs hot, silver stays cool, deep blue moves like a night tide, orange-brown holds autumn, red lines on bone become an echo, and cyan is the lightest of all.

04Motion

Let the lines
play out.

The same lines, drawn in one after another, a little over four seconds, ending on the finished poster. Choose a series and press play. There is no audio and no sound data behind it — only rhythm, drawn so you can see it.

The six collection names come from the original 2026 Affinity file, where they label concept images of the speaker sets; those images are not shown here because their authorship is not established. The posters, wave graphics, the ST. MARLYN type treatment and the motion study are new 2026 visual studies — not the client’s logo, an approved brand standard or a campaign that ran. The waves are drawn, not measured from sound.
