Spark One is a marketing and design company set up in North York in 2025. It needed a mark that could sit small on a business card and still look like a spark. Ours is built from a cross and two quarter-circles: the arcs swing in from opposite corners, and the upright breaks just before it meets the bar, so light shows through the crossing.

01The mark
Twelve units,
one spark.
The mark sits on a twelve-unit square, one unit to a stroke. A bar and an upright cross at the centre; two quarter-circles of radius six, centred on the top-left and bottom-right corners, swing in to meet them. The upright stops three-quarters of a unit short of the bar on either side, so the crossing stays open — the flash at the heart of the spark.

02Wordmark & lockups
Set in capitals,
held level.
SPARK ONE is set in Poppins Bold capitals and outlined, with Marketing & Design beneath. The 2025 files hold two lockups: side by side for wide spaces, stacked for square ones. Amber on black is the original pairing; black on amber and black on paper are added here.
03Business cards
A black card,
one point of light.
The 2025 cards are black, with only the amber mark on the front — horizontal on one version, stacked on the other. The backs carried each person’s name, title and contact lines in a tight block; here they are reset with clear hierarchy and room, and the personal details are left out.
