Sky Art Reno is a renovation company, and its mark puts the trade inside the initials: a paint roller stands at the foot of the S, and a claw hammer is cut out of the R. Beneath them, SKY ART RENO is set in a rounded, square-shouldered sans as sturdy as the letters above.

01The mark
A roller at the foot,
a hammer in the bowl.
Nothing is added to the letters; the tools are made out of them. The three letters are packed tight, a single channel apart, and the roller, the hammer’s head and its handle all borrow those channels and counters — SAR from across the street, tools up close.
Roller
A paint roller stands at the foot of the S; its frame is one thin line bent into a crank.
Hammer
The hammer’s head is cut from the top of the R; its handle is the slot that parts the R’s stem from its leg.
Channel
One channel, one width, runs between S, A and R, following each letter’s curve.
02Colour
Yellow on navy,
and on black.
The 2018 presentation showed the mark three ways: yellow on black, yellow on navy and navy on yellow — the colours of a hard hat and a work jacket. The values below are sampled from that file.

03The redraw
From a small JPEG
to a clean drawing.
All the archive holds is a small JPEG inside a 2018 portfolio page — no source file. In 2026 we redrew the mark over it, stroke by stroke: the S’s outer corners share one radius, the A’s legs share one slope under a single arc, the channels share one width, and the roller, the claw and every cut stay where they were. The same mark, drawn cleanly — not a new one.
