SIMON Studio’s logo sits in our 2018 logo sampler. It hides a camera in the name: the O is a lens, and two rounded bars above and below turn the middle of the word into a camera body. Every other letter is a fine single line, so the lens carries all the weight. The sampler kept just a 337-pixel bitmap of it; in 2026 we redrew it as vector.

Read a name,
see a camera.
The camera is built from the fewest parts that still read as one: a top bar with a shutter button, a heavy lens barrel, two fine rings inside it, a glint and a pinpoint of light, a curved reflection, and a bottom bar that closes the body. One part fewer and it stops being a camera; one more and it drowns the name.

02Linework
Fine lines,
one heavy lens.
S, I, M and N are single strokes of one weight with round ends. The bars are heavier and the lens heaviest of all, so the eye goes straight to the O. Like any round letter, the lens runs slightly above and below the capitals so that it looks the same height. “Studio” sits beneath on the right in a light sans.

03From the archive
337 pixels wide,
now any size.
The sampler is the only place the mark survives, and there it is a small bitmap — 337 by 123 pixels, already soft at the size it was printed. We redrew it over an enlargement: every stroke, ring and bar measured and set as vector, “Studio” matched to Open Sans Light. Left of the line is the 2018 file; right of it, the 2026 drawing.
04Versions
Dark or light,
large or small.
Redrawn, the mark can sit on any ground: graphite on light, reversed on dark, and the sampler’s grey kept as found. The row below tests size: at 320 pixels wide the two fine rings in the barrel are distinct; at 200 and below they merge into one, and the camera still reads.
