The Roar of Pollution Through the Future turns environmental themes into fantastic adventures, accompanied by children’s interpretations of the stories. The new design begins with that energy: a clearer title, a stronger chapter rhythm, and room for each illustration to be seen.

A simple form. A passage forward.
Eight oval outlines form a passage inward, turning the idea of time travel into a clear visual cue. Lime and cobalt create a vivid contrast and connect the cover, bookmark and posters.
Enter the story. See the imagination.
Bold chapter numbers and clear titles lead into pages devoted to the children’s drawings. All three selected illustrations retain their complete compositions and original credits. The new layouts give them more room to be seen.
Every mark has a life of its own.
This illustration accompanies Garbage Turned into Chocolate (1) and is credited to Fiona Qu. Its colours, characters and details belong to the original drawing. Space and clear typography give it a considered setting.
A little of the future, between the pages.
The slender bookmark carries the cover’s portal motif and colours into an object used while reading. Each side has its own focus within the same visual language.
A story beyond the page.
The title poster introduces the portal motif; chapter posters give the original illustrations centre stage. A shared number and title hierarchy connects the different stories.
An imagination, page by page.
Eight selected pages bring the cover, chapter openings, illustrations and source record into one reading sequence. The design study gives the original words and drawings a clear place of their own.
