A name written
as a hanger.
One unbroken line. It loops into a hook and runs down the shoulders of a coat hanger, and where the bar should be, it writes the name: lulu, in a quick cursive hand, with a straight stroke on the right to close the hanger. BOUTIQUE sits beneath in a classic serif.

01One line
The bar of the hanger
is the name.
From the hook, the line runs down the left shoulder and into the name without lifting. Each l rises and falls back on itself, each u is two quick strokes, and after the last letter a straight rule meets the right shoulder and closes the hanger. The drawing takes it apart.

02The record
From a thumbnail
to a clean line.
The logo survives only as a 259 × 175 pixel image on the studio’s October 2018 logo sheet. In 2026 we traced the centre of the line and rebuilt it as smooth curves at one even weight, the way a hanger is bent from a single wire; BOUTIQUE is re-set in Times New Roman, a close match to the original serif.
03One colour
One line,
on light or dark.
No colour specification survives, so it is shown as recorded: one colour. The whole mark is a single weight of line, so it reverses without adjustment. At very small sizes the strokes of lulu are the first to crowd together.
