A little bite brings us closer.

The original brand story connects Kissing Bun’s name to the gentle gesture of a first little bite. We brought that closeness into the visual direction: expressive Chinese brushwork, distinctive sign lettering, real food photography and warm paper tones, arranged with the ease of a welcoming table.

01 / FAMILIAR CHARACTER

Flavour in the brushwork. Character in the lettering.

The original brushwork has both energy and natural breathing room. The English sign lettering is direct and distinctive. Navy, ivory and red bring those characters together across the table and takeaway applications.

02 / LET THE FOOD SPEAK

Real food. Room to savour it.

Two supplied photographs show the complete plate, filling and crisp base. Their full frames preserve the food’s texture and colour, bringing a tangible sense of flavour into the new direction.

03 / AT THE TABLE

A place for every flavour.

From pan-fried buns and noodles to small plates and milk tea, a dense historical menu becomes an eight-page edition. Clear categories, bilingual hierarchy and generous space make reading part of the dining experience.

05 / A LOT TO LOVE.

A little bite. A lot to love.

The ease of italic type, the warmth of Chinese serif lettering and the immediacy of real food each lead a poster. A consistent brand position and open space connect three expressions with the same welcoming character.

SCOPE
Bilingual identity, menu edition, packaging concepts, brand cards and posters

Developed from the original 2022 archive. The English sign lettering, Chinese calligraphy and seal retain their original outlines in new arrangements and colours. Two archival food photographs retain their complete frames in the flat artwork. Type pairings, menu, packaging, cards and posters are 2026 portfolio refinements; adoption and production specifications are unconfirmed. Menu content comes from historical material and is presented as a design study, not a current offer. AI-assisted packaging and spatial scenes are application concepts.
