HR Financial (宏瑞金融) is the firm of financial adviser Ivy Song. In 2024 we drew its logo: a gold coin with a square hole — round outside, square within — in two colours only, Chinese red and gold. The same identity carries her business card and roll-up banner.

01The symbol
A square-holed coin,
the square left by two arcs.
The symbol takes the form of an old Chinese coin: a ring outside, a square hole at the centre. The square is not drawn in; it is the space two opposed arcs leave as they cross inside the ring, so the whole symbol is one connected shape. The alternate sets H and R in an open ring, the leg of the R running on to close it.

02The name
Two characters red,
two characters gold.
In the original the first two characters of the Chinese name are red and the last two gold, with HR Financial underneath. We kept the split, re-set the Chinese in Noto Sans SC and the English in widely spaced capitals, so both scripts finish on the same line.
03Business card
The adviser on the front,
the firm on the back.
The front carries the adviser’s name; the back is all red, with the gold symbol and four service headings. The original front had her portrait on the right. Re-set here in the same layout, the portrait’s place goes to an enlarged symbol and the contact lines keep only their labels.
04Roll-up banner
Seen from the door,
read up close.
A banner stands at the door of an event: from across the room you see the symbol, closer up you read the services. The original laid the portrait over a stock photograph of towers, with type printed on the picture where it was hard to read. The re-set uses three fields only, cream, red and gold: the lockup at the top, four services one to a line, the adviser’s name below.
