Connor Olson makes candles, and the brand introduces itself in four words: candles crafted with love. In 2023 the studio drew its mark and wordmark, settled on a deep navy and a soft grey, and carried them onto a business card, candle labels, a projecting sign, and a set of web and social layouts.

01The mark
Two open rings,
one leaf.
Two equal rings overlap, each left open at one end, so the line reads as a single gesture. Where they meet sits a leaf with one vein, drawn in the same stroke. Nothing is filled in; the mark is as light as the line that draws it.
02Type and colour
A light line,
a light letter.
The name is set in Poppins Light, whose round, even strokes carry the same weight as the mark. The line beneath, CANDLES CRAFTED WITH LOVE, is set in widely spaced capitals. Navy does the speaking; a soft grey is the ground.

03Card and labels
On the card,
on the jar.
The card has two faces: the mark and wordmark on pale grey, the tagline on navy. The candle labels carry the same lockup centred on white, in two shapes — a landscape label for the wide tumbler and an upright one for the tall glass.
04Sign
Out on the street,
white on black.
For the shopfront, a projecting box sign: the lockup reversed out of a black face, hung square to the wall so it is seen from along the street.
05Web and social
Online,
the same quiet.
The web banner and the social posts keep to a few moves: the wordmark large, the tagline in spaced capitals, the mark small in a corner, and plenty of grey. In the originals a photograph fills the other half; those were stock images and are not shown.
